I can not begin to tell you how AMAZING it feels to say that. I cry almost every time.

My now fiancé thought of EVERYTHING and wanted this day to be a surprise. Over the years I've been hinting of what kind of diamond I wanted, what style of wedding I wanted and how I thought I wanted him to propose. As I grew older and more impatient I decided I was going to just stop trying to control this situation and let him do his thing and when it was meant to happen...it would happen. If you know me, I want to know everything about details, I ask a thousand questions (my fiancé calls me an investigator) so this was hard!!
But who am I kidding, I looked on Pinterest off and on pinning wedding things than would give it a rest because I didn't have a ring yet to try to plan a wedding.
I thought of this day my whole life and I couldn't stand waiting to see when the day was going to be when the man I've been dreaming of would ask me to be with him for the rest of our lives. The second Eric and I met, I knew he was the man I've been dreaming of. I never met a man who is like Eric and I THANK GOD every day for bringing us together.
Skipping to one of the BEST DAYS of my LIFE!
Before my bestfriend came to visit us from NC, we were chatting and deciding on what to do while she was here. I casually mentioned that it would be so AWESOME if Eric proposed while she was here...I even sent her ANOTHER picture of a ring I saw (haha). When she got here, we went to get our nails done, braided my hair, Eric and I showed her around Portland, took her to see some waterfalls, went to breweries and even went to a pumpkin patch! We had such a fun week. I was so convinced at this point that Eric was waiting until after the holidays or even after we got a house. Even though I wanted this to happen SOO BADLY and was anticipating when it would happen...he got me SOO GOOD! I had NO IDEA he even looked at rings let alone bought a ring! Apparently he had it for THREE WEEKS before my bestfriend came, and YES you guessed it...she was in on the secret!

My fiancé went to pick out everything about this ring (which I'm in LOVE with) and made sure my nails were done and even called our moms while he was picking the ring up (he told me some of the details after he proposed)! He also knows that I am a person who loves to take pictures and loves the idea of making memories and traditions. Last year in 2019 when we came to Portland to search for a place to live, we fell in love with the scenery here with the mountains in the background. We drove to Mt. Hood and took a picture at a ski lodge we accidently found that had the tip of the mountain in the background. So it was only natural to go back to that spot and also show my friend the reason why we fell in love with this state.

( these pictures are from 2019)

The best day of my life (and my friends last day visiting) started with a nice little breakfast at a new place we've never been to. If you visit the PNW, go to ELMERS. Its a nice little diner with amazing food and huge proportions! After we ate, we drove up to the mountain but took a different way than the last time and I'm glad we did. We passed by such gorgeous views you only see in the movies or in paintings. We passed several wineries (that plan on stopping at in the future) and traveled up the other side of the mountain. Not knowing the road we chose would lead us on a tight gravel road up the mountain, it was a blessing in disguise. We saw in the distance two more mountains, we also saw the fire damage that was left behind from a forest fire years ago.
When we got to the top we noticed we had to have a parking pass that we didn't have so we decided to go back down the mountain and show her the other side where we took the picture, it was only another 30 minutes. I love seeing these views, every time I see Gods' artwork I can’t help but feel at peace and happy. Once we got to the other side and parked, we walked up the trail to the rock we took a picture on last year. I set up my camera to take an automatic picture (since that's how we did it last year) and my friend was taking some on her phone. MIND YOU...Eric proposing to me still NEVER crossed my mind at this point. I was not expecting it.
After I set up the camera, Eric was counting down the seconds on the screen to let me know how much time I had left to make it back and get in position. Once he got down to 3...2...1...I smiled, he smiled and looked at me and said "WILL YOU MARRY ME?"

I was in complete SHOCK and had NO IDEA how to react! I cant tell you how in SHOCK I was. I was not expecting this to happen right now! I was so shocked and this was what he was wanting! Every time I would mention a ring to him he told me he wanted to surprise me and I'm beyond HAPPY that he did. I would never want it to be any other way. The time passed by so fast that I was so confused as to what was going on hahaha but I cant explain how HAPPY and BLESSED I am to be spending the rest of my life with the LOVE OF MY LIFE!
We both have added a great amount of happiness, value and love into each others lives and I cant be happier that we found what we were missing!
CHEERS TO FOREVER BABE, I LOVE YOU!
